Develop the Developer Program Q&A

July 2024, MILWAUKEE, WI: LISC Milwaukee is launching our 2nd Develop the Developer Academy with our partners at the Freddie Mac and Grow America (formerly NDC)! 

In this comprehensive class, you will gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the multifamily development process. The course will guide you through each crucial step, ensuring that you have a thorough understanding.

You will learn how to assess market conditions, identify potential investment opportunities, and evaluate the feasibility of acquiring multifamily properties, budget and pro forma development which will enable you to make informed decisions and strategically enter the market.

You will learn about various financing options available for multifamily projects, including traditional loans, government programs, and private equity. Understanding the intricacies of financing will empower you to secure the necessary funds for your project. Understanding the financial aspects of multifamily development is essential for successful project management. This knowledge will enable you to maximize the value of your investment and achieve long-term success.

One of the unique aspects of this class is the opportunity to engage with industry professionals. Networking panels will be organized, bringing together local architects, lenders, city staff, engineers, developers, and construction staff. These panels will provide you with the chance to connect with experts in the field, build relationships, and assemble a skilled team to support your multifamily development project.
